Why do I have My Migraine Headache?
Written by migraine on July 22nd, 2010
I have been experiencing a migraine headache in my temples recently. It is actually more of a discomfort I have never had these problems before. My girlfriend has recently become pregnant I have read that hormonal changes can cause this. Is this true? I have had an mri and a cat scan within the last year… Anybody know what this could be?

Her hormonal changes are not going to affect YOU, unless it’s due to her being more demanding or difficult to get along with which would stress you, you getting less sleep due to worry, less (or no) bedroom fun, etc. A headache is not a migraine if it doesn’t include things like an aura, etc. You may be having cluster headaches. Go see a specialist and have the clinic that ordered your MRI & CAT to him/her and get a professional opinion.
Stress and lack of sleep can bring one on for me, pronto.
It could be that you are too tired or you got too much thinking. Try to be relax and try meditation as it can help migraine
Maybe your girlfriend is causing you more stress than you need or can deal with, or anyone can deal with, and now she in family way your stress levels are going throgh the roof.
I used to have shocking migraines that put me out of action for 8 hours at a time.
I took the following steps and I have not had a migraine in three years.
1: Reduced stress
I was heavily stressed at work and working 16 -18 hours a days. I was off work for a year. I’ve since returned and been a lot happier because the problem was recognised by my employers and my workload adjusted.
2: Food additives.
It’s all too easy to grab quick meals, take away, fast food and diet soda drinks just to stave off hunger and keep you going. But many of these products contain additives that react badly in some folks. MSG (mono-sodium glutamate – flavor enhancer) and Aspartame (sugar replacement) are a couple that I can mention. I cut out additives by eating fresh vegetables, fresh meat and preparing all of my meals. Sure it takes a little longer than reheating a microwave dinner or boil in the bag meal but it works out about the same price and I know what has gone into it.
3: Food intolerances
I also went to a homeopathic / complementary therapist and discovered I have intolerances to certain foods and substances. So I stopped eating them.
4: Sleep disorders
Okay, I put my hands up, I’m still working on this one.
5: Possibly not a migraine…
It sounds more like cluster headaches to me. A migraine is very specific. I knew when a migraine was coming on about twenty to twenty-five minutes beforehand. There were very clear signs and it gave me time to prepare myself and get to bed. Because once it hit me, I was … well, the first time it happened, I was rushed to hospital because my family panicked and didn’t know what was happening to me.
Hope this helps.
Mine always affected my eyes, made them burn really bad. Once I released the muscles in my neck which causes the headaches the problems were resolved. The nerves for they eyes have to go to the back of the head to the eye center there and in doing so they pass right by the muscles in your neck. When pinched those muscles pressed into the nerves for my eyes and made them burn. Once the muscles were released the pain in my eyes was gone along with the migraine, a super headache itself. Here is how I release the muscles to get rid of the pains:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
With your neck in the lowered position, replace your thumbs in under the ears and your fingers behind your head but right next to your skull this time. Press your fingers and thumbs together again and hold. Relax your body while waiting. When the muscles have all released, slowly lift your head until it’s level again, release the pressure but hold your head like that for another 30 seconds.
Before doing this take a deep breath and exhale and try to keep that relaxed feeling the entire time you do this release. I had to do mine a couple of time for a full release. After doing them I found that if I felt the tension building which was an indication that a headache was coming on I just pressed my fingers into my temples and held them there until it all passed, about 30 to 45 seconds. It has ended up being longer and longer between even those things happening.
something you’re eating?
I am 21, and in college for my doctorate and this occasionally happens to me. I play a lot of football and my doctor tells me I have a caffeine deficiency so i get migraines. He calls the things you see when you close your eyes really hard floaters and fuzzy’s. They generally come to warn you that When you first sight them you should directly take two Excedrin Migraine because you are going to experience a headache. So take the Excedrin and drank some water and you’ll feel better depending on how fast you took them, it should take about 20 min. Then problem solved. Any try not to worry or think to hard abot life, that can giv you headaches to.
I know of someone who cured her migraine headaches by FASTING FOR THREE DAYS AND NIGHTS.
This detoxifies the body, and immunizes it against all sorts of things. I fasted for ten days a couple of times, and don’t get headaches anymore. I can be soaked to the skin and chilled to the bone, and never catch a cold.
Imagine my surprises, five years after my last ten day fast (after which my white hairs grew out black again,) I had acute migraine headaches! I thought back to WHAT could’ve DONE this to me? I remembered that I was drinking a new orange diet fruit drink, that was sweetened with aspartame.
I remembered hearing on Talk Radio (Billy Goodman on William Cooper’s The Hour of The Time,)
that the combination of monosodium glutamate AND aspartame caused brain tumours in mice- but They aren’t telling us. That some people had so much MSG in their systems, that just a minimum amount MORE would KILL them. ("Poor them, I’d thought at the time. Good thing I’M immune!")
I had to stop taking aspartame IMMEDIATELY. It was EIGHT MONTHS before I could tolerate a mere drop of ANYTHING with monosodium glutamate in it, without breaking out a migraine within 15 minutes. Some people taking a brand of MSG seasoned noodles have from time to time been reported DYING after taking them for supper. ENTIRE FAMILIES.
I escaped that fate, because I don’t use painkilling drugs, or any other sort of drugs.
Medical Science authorities KNOW that the Human body HAS TO be DETOXIFIED from time to time, BUT THEY TRAIN DOCTORS NEVER TO TELL YOU, so that we continiue to support their bloated Medical Mafia, paying for treatment of ailments and conditions that could have been prevented or cured by fasting (96% of them).
